Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring they receive exceptional service and support throughout their experience. You will utilize your mechanical knowledge and expertise in automotive repair to effectively communicate service options and recommendations, while also managing customer expectations and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments to streamline the service process
- Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival
- Assess vehicle needs through customer input and a comprehensive walk-around inspection
- Use consultative selling to recommend ongoing maintenance and repairs
- Create transparent and accurate repair orders, including detailed cost and time estimates
- Communicate regularly with Technicians and Parts Department to ensure timely service
- Provide customers with updates on repair status via their preferred communication method
- Ensure a smooth and satisfying vehicle delivery experience
- Conduct post-service follow-ups to confirm customer satisfaction
- Meet and exceed individual service and sales performance goals
- Acquire and maintain strong product knowledge, including maintenance requirements and warranty coverage
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience to promote long-term loyalty
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Prior experience as a Service Advisor with a domestic OEM (e.g., Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Ford, GM)
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Ability to set, pursue, and achieve sales and performance targets
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities
- Comfortable using dealership technology and service software systems
- Prior automotive sales or service experience preferred
- Valid in-state driver’s license and a clean, safe driving record
