Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in supporting both the Sales and Production teams. This position is responsible for assisting with job bidding, market research, order processing, and production scheduling. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within the rebar industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote Simcote’s Core Values in all aspects of work.
- Develop a deep understanding of rebar sales and production processes.
- Respond promptly and accurately to quote requests.
- Process customer orders with precision and timeliness.
- Assess material order complexity and its impact on shop production.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication between Sales and Production teams.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Expand knowledge of rebar construction methods and industry standards.
- Prepare and present monthly Sales and Production reports.
- Monitor and report on market trends, pricing strategies, and competitive activity to the Sales Manager.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business software.
- Previous experience in sales support, order processing, or production coordination is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Education Requirements
