Essential Functions
Architecture and Technical Leadership — Primary Responsibilities
- Provide program-level architectural decisions and technical guidance for engineering teams.
- Develop end-to-end IoT system architecture spanning hardware, firmware, mobile, web, database, analytics, and API layers.
- Ensure system scalability, security, maintainability, and long-term reliability.
- Coach engineers in architectural thinking, system design, and emerging technologies.
- Help teams understand and integrate new or unfamiliar technical concepts.
- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps aligned with product and business outcomes.
- Lead technical discussions to shape scope and implementations for new initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate vision, risks, and strategic trade-offs.
- Facilitate effective communication across InSite teams and align work toward shared objectives.
- Influence across teams by building trust through active communication, contributions, and support.
- Develop strong internal relationships to improve alignment and execution.
- Promote strong teamwork, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, data, QA, and product teams.
Hands-On Development — Additional / Secondary Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to ongoing product evolution through direct development.
- Build high-impact features, prototypes, and system improvements across the stack.
- Lead by example through high-quality code, design patterns, and technical craftsmanship.
- Explore new technologies, evaluate emerging tools, and guide teams through future-oriented innovation.
- Bring deep expertise in at least one area (e.g., APIs, cloud systems, data pipelines).
Required Qualifications
- Deep understanding of IoT systems architecture, including hardware–firmware interfaces, mobile and web applications, cloud services, databases, APIs, and analytics/visualization layers.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience in multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
- Expertise in at least one major area (e.g., API design, cloud architecture, embedded-to-cloud integrations).
- Proven ability to drive strategy, align teams, and communicate effectively with business and senior leadership.
- Strong teamwork, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Experience facilitating cross-team communication and alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technology decisions without formal authority.
- Track record of continuous learning and adopting new technologies.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, health tech, enterprise IoT).
- Knowledge of modern cloud platforms (AWS).
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices for IoT and cloud systems.
- Experience designing scalable multi-tenant architectures.

Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
