Technical Service and Sales Representative
Location: Southeastern United States; preferred base near Charlotte, NC
Employment Type: Full-time, exempt

About the Role
We are seeking a driven and technically minded Technical Service and Sales Representative. This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional, with technical aptitude, who enjoys building customer relationships, supporting distributor partners, and helping industrial customers solve maintenance and lubrication challenges through practical, application-focused solutions.
The role will serve as a key regional point of contact for end users, distributor partners, and internal sales teams. This position is responsible for developing new business, managing strategic accounts, supporting product adoption, and strengthening market presence within the industrial maintenance and lubrication sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development
- Develop and execute sales plan across defined industry segments.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, customer visits, and collaboration with distributor partners.
- Maintain a structured territory management plan to support consistent market coverage and opportunity development.
- Meet or exceed sales goals across the assigned territory.
Account Management
- Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key end-user and distributor accounts.
- Conduct regular customer visits, technical demonstrations, and application reviews.
- Manage strategic accounts to increase wallet share, drive product adoption, and support long-term customer retention.
- Provide post-sale support and serve as a trusted resource for customers and channel partners.
Distributor and Channel Support
- Train distributor sales teams on simatec product lines, applications, and value propositions.
- Conduct joint sales calls with distributor representatives to support customer engagement and opportunity development.
- Coordinate effectively between customers, distribution partners, and internal sales functions.
Technical and Application Support
- Provide consultative technical support to end users and distribution partners.
- Assist customers with product selection, installation recommendations, and troubleshooting support.
- Deliver product presentations, seminars, and technical training sessions in person and virtually.
- Partner with the simalube service team leader to support on-site installations and customer application needs.
Reporting and CRM Management
- Maintain accurate account information, opportunities, quotes, and activity records within the CRM system.
- Submit regular territory activity and performance reports to management.
- Support the RFQ process for U.S. customers as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in technical sales, industrial sales, account management, or a related customer-facing role.
- Strong consultative selling, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and technical understanding of industrial applications.
- Ability to manage territory planning and customer activities in a structured and independent manner.
- Experience working with distribution networks, channel partners, or industrial customers preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance, lubrication, reliability, automated lubrication solutions, or mechanical maintenance equipment is a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30–50% within the territory and nationally as required.
