What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Sim Racing South Barrington?
We are looking for skilled, professional bartenders with strong cocktail knowledge to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced bar environment, delivers great guest experiences, and takes pride in their craft. You may be asked to serve the floor so we are seeking a team player.
*Must be able to open 3pm shifts and have flexibility Tues, Wed, Sat and Sundays.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience bartending in a high-volume bar or restaurant
- Strong cocktail knowledge (classics, modern cocktails, proper techniques)
- Ability to work efficiently during busy shifts
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and event nights
- Ability to assist servers on the floor
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve classic and specialty cocktails consistently
- Provide friendly, attentive service to guests at the bar
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar
- Handle cash, POS transactions, and tabs accurately
- Follow all alcohol service laws and safety guidelines
- Work closely with barbacks, servers, and management
- Assist with opening and closing duties
Requirements:
- Must be 21 (or legal age per state law)
- Prior cocktail bartending experience required
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
- Valid alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain)
- Toast POS knowledge preferred but not mandatory
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
