Job Summary
This position contributes to Starbucks success by assisting the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job deploys partners and delegates tasks so that partners can create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and Silverton’s Code of Conduct.
General Summary of Job Duties
- Ability to handle cash and multitask.
- Making handcrafted beverages to meet Starbucks’ standards.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and body language.
- Requires prolonged standing and walking with full mobility (i.e. bending and reaching from a level height to 6 feet). Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds. Normal hearing, vision, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity required.
- Ability to perform under stressful, demanding situations in perhaps small quarters of four feet or less, with four foot access and contact with Team Members and Guests.
- Ability to work in a smoking environment.
- Maintains an awareness of applicable laws and operates within those guidelines.
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assists General Manager in most supervisor duties, to include, but is not limited to, coaching, training, daily ordering, Micros issues and inventory.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make judgment calls as required in the absence of the General Manager.
- Maintains some accountability for store operations, associate development and financial contribution.
- Acts as a role model while providing guidance and training to Team Members on performance expectations.
- Adhere to all Starbucks as well as Silverton policies and procedures.
- Acts as MOD in the absence of the General Manager.

- Starbucks barista experience required
- Certification as a Starbucks barista trainer required
- Previous Food & Beverage experience required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
