What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Silverton Casino & Exchange Hotels Management Properties?
The Hotel Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for shift coverage and therefore must possess strong trouble-shooting skills in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, using a windows based computer system. Ability to read blue prints and schematics is also required. A minimum of 5-years building maintenance experience is required, with hotel experience preferred. A strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems, is required for this position. Good communication skills are necessary. Additionally, this position requires strong leadership skills, and a willingness to work different shifts as the demands of business dictates.
- Directly supervise all engineering team members and projects, and ensure proper completion of all duties.
- Direct and coordinate all the maintenance activities of the hotel’s facilities, including routine and preventive maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, back of house, and laundry operations.
- Ensure the proper appearance of the hotel from the entrance to the roof. Direct and coordinate the maintenance of the parking lot and walk ways, the landscaping, service and trash areas, and the exterior of all buildings.
- Ensure that the highest quality of service is provide to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Have a good understanding of all hotel operating procedures.
- Enforce all existing and new policies and procedures with the Engineering Team Members.
- Maintain proper staffing in all areas of responsibility.
- Address Guests’ complaints in a manner which results in superior Guest service.
- Assign work to Engineering Team Members in a manner which ensures efficient, quality work.
- Manage the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems.
- Maintain and operate equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Establish and manage an effective rooms maintenance program.
Skills, Education & Other Requirements
