The Silverthorn Animal Clinic is a full-service animal hospital that takes both emergency and less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Our staff has experience with all types of illnesses and treatments. We make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and a very calm environment for pets, clients, and our team.
We offer specialty care of chiropractic services, holistic services, acupuncture, exotic medicine, reproduction, and stem cell/PRP Prolo Therapy, and ultrasound.
We have a large facility with a spacious treatment area, separate surgical suite, and three wet tables. We love our wonderful atmosphere and team culture. Our team consists of one LVT, multiple technicians, assistants, and CSRs, who are fully utilized to ensure our days operate smoothly and efficiently.
Position Purpose
Full-time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) — Surgery-driven. Repro-focused. Team-supported.
Up to $75,000 Sign on Bonus!
This Associate Veterinarian role is ideal for a DVM who enjoys hands-on surgery, values reproduction medicine, and wants to practice in a supportive, team-based environment.
You’ll have a dedicated surgery day, strong technician utilization, and a caseload that allows for quality medicine—not rushed appointments. The practice is well-equipped and encourages collaboration while allowing autonomy based on skill and comfort level.

Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose illness or injury
Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results
Advise clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and long-term wellness
Provide compassionate guidance through end-of-life care decisions
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Practice in compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and applicable regulations
Requirements/Qualifications
DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
Active or eligible state veterinary licensure
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional, respectful demeanor with clients and team members
VET must be able to lift patients or equipment up to 25 lbs independently, heavier with assistance
