Silverstrong Fitness helps mature adults stay strong, balanced, confident, and independent so they can continue doing the activities they love with family and friends. Our clients are primarily women 60 , and our mission is to help them remain active, engaged, and living life on their own terms.

As we grow in 2026, we are seeking a warm, patient, and encouraging personal trainer who specializes in working with seniors. This is an opportunity to do deeply meaningful work where your coaching directly improves our clients’ quality of life.

Silverstrong Fitness provides one-on-one and small-group training both in-person in Mission Valley/San Diego and worldwide via Zoom. We focus on:

• Strength training to reduce frailty and improve bone density

• Balance training to reduce the risk of falling

• Functional mobility and flexibility

• Cognitive and dual-task training to support brain health and improve reaction time

What You’ll Do

You will help clients build strength, stability, and confidence while creating a supportive and enjoyable training environment.

You will:

• Coach clients in 1-on-1, semi-private and Zoom settings

• Create customized workout programs

• Maintain client consistency and accountability

• Ensure clients renew their memberships

• Help sign up and onboard new clients

• Support community outreach efforts (local senior centers, health organizations, educational workshops)

• Clients are making steady, measurable progress

• Attendance remains consistent

• Clients feel seen, safe, supported, and encouraged

• Clients are proud of their progress and refer friends & family

• Members renew — because training here is meaningful to them


Requirements

• Experience training seniors (required)

• Warm, patient communication style

• Ability to adapt sessions based on a clients’ pain, energy, and ability level

• Professionalism, reliability, and consistent follow-through

Bonus Qualifications (Not Required):

• Senior Fitness Specialist Certification

• Brain Health / Functional Aging / Balance Training background

• Nutrition / Weight Management certification


Hours & Compensation

• 6 hours per week minimum, with growth potential

Mornings and afternoons, possibly Saturdays

$25 per hour to start, with growth potential

• Opportunity to grow into more hours, higher salary and leadership roles over time

This position is ideal for someone who wants deeply meaningful part-time work, not high-volume gym floor coaching.
