Server

As a Server at Silverfern North, you will play a vital role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents. You will be responsible for delivering attentive and personalized service, ensuring the dining area is clean and well-organized, and attending the needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Table Service:
• Greet residents with warmth and professionalism, seat them, and present menus.
• Take residents' orders for food and beverages, ensuring accuracy and attention to dietary restrictions.
• Serve meals promptly and elegantly, ensuring the correct order is delivered to the appropriate resident.
• Familiarize yourself with residents' dietary needs and restrictions, and provide guidance on suitable menu choices.
• Accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies with care and attention.
• Set tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, and linens.
• Clear tables efficiently, ensuring dishes and utensils are removed promptly and discreetly.
• Communication & Customer Satisfaction
• Maintain clear and open communication with the kitchen and culinary staff to ensure accurate order delivery and timing.
• Relay any resident concerns or feedback to the management team.
• Ensure residents' needs and requests are met promptly and with a friendly demeanor.
• Go above and beyond to create a pleasant and memorable dining experience.
• Safety and Hygiene:
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a safe dining environment.
• Teamwork:
• Collaborate with other dining room servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions.
• Special Events and Catering:
• Assist with special events, banquets, and catering services as required.
• Help set up and serve at special functions within the community.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server in a fine dining or senior living setting is preferred.
• Bartending Experience is a plus!
• Knowledge of proper table service etiquette and customer service principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Physical ability to handle and transport trays and dishes.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
