Silvercrest of Urbana is looking for dependable, compassionate team members to join our Dietary Department as a Dietary Aide or Cook. If you enjoy working as part of a team and making a difference in the lives of our residents, we’d love to have you join us!

Dietary Aide

As a Dietary Aide, you will help ensure our residents receive enjoyable, nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and tray setup

• Deliver meals and beverages to residents

• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas

• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment and work areas

• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents

• Assist the dietary team with daily tasks as needed

Cook

Our Cooks are responsible for preparing quality meals while following menus, dietary requirements, and food safety standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare meals according to established menus and recipes

• Follow residents’ special diets and dietary restrictions

• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule

• Maintain proper food temperatures and sanitation standards

• Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean and organized

• Assist with inventory and food preparation as needed

• Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and dietary team

What We’re Looking For

• Dependable and responsible team members

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to work well with residents and coworkers

• Previous dietary or food service experience is a plus

• Prior healthcare or long-term care experience is preferred but not required

• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
