Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and develop our business-to-business (B2B) sales operations in the horticulture industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of proven experience as a Sales Manager and a strong record of overseeing teams of 15 or more employees.
This individual will work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to strategize, execute, and grow key accounts—many of which represent multi-million-dollar partnerships with supermarkets and major box stores. The role requires an on-site presence at our Homestead, Florida location, fostering collaboration and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of 15 sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and execute effective B2B sales strategies tailored to the horticulture market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key supermarket, box store, and wholesale accounts.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct regular evaluations.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and logistics to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- Analyze sales data, prepare detailed performance and trend reports, and present findings to the CEO and Board.
- Identify opportunities for business expansion and operational improvement.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop new team members as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales Manager role, preferably within the horticulture or related industry.
- Proven success managing and motivating a sales team of 15 employees.
- Experience managing high-value accounts exceeding millions of dollars in annual sales.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with excellent person-to-person communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed ambitious sales goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of eCommerce sales and strategy is a strong plus.
- Must be able to work full-time on premises in Homestead, Florida (no hybrid or remote option).
