OverviewJob Summary:
Silver State Towing is seeking a reliable and professional Tow Truck Operator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in providing fast, efficient, and safe roadside assistance and vehicle transport services to our customers. Operators are responsible for responding to service calls, assessing situations in the field, and completing tows and recoveries in accordance with company procedures and safety standards. This is an on-call position that requires flexibility, dependability, and the ability to work independently in a variety of conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to dispatched service calls including towing, recovery, lockouts, jump starts, and tire changes
- Safely operate tow trucks and related equipment in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after each shift
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including necessary documentation and photos
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding status updates and job details
- Ensure proper handling and care of customer vehicles to prevent damage
Requirements:
- Must reside in or near Gardnerville, Nevada
- Must be available for an on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screening
- Willingness to undergo and pass multiple background checks
- Ability to work in various weather and roadside conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
- Capable of standing, bending, and working outdoors for extended periods
- Comfortable working in high-traffic or potentially hazardous environments
Work Environment:
This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and may require responding to emergency situations at any time during scheduled on-call shifts.
