Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Silver State Schools Credit Union to live out its Mission, "Excellent Member Service and Financial Solutions – For Life," by providing outstanding service to both members and internal members.
Summary
The Senior Business Lending Operations Officer is responsible for end-to-end loan operations, credit administration, collateral management, and lifecycle oversight for commercial and small business loans. This role serves as the operational backbone of the lending function, ensuring documentation integrity, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and consistent loan quality from origination through payoff.
Essential Duties
Loan Processing & Credit Administration
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
5 years of experience in commercial and/or small business lending operations, credit administration, or loan processing within a financial institution.
Demonstrated experience supporting commercial loan documentation, collateral management, and loan lifecycle administration.
Strong working knowledge of loan origination systems (LOS), core banking platforms, and document imaging systems.
Technologically proficient, with experience supporting system enhancements, workflow improvements, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in a lending environment.

Essential Duties
Loan Processing & Credit Administration
- Input commercial loans into the commercial loan origination system (LOS)
- Input small business loans into applicable consumer lending systems
- Prepare complete and accurate loan packages for underwriting, approval, and committee review
- Coordinate annual reviews, renewals, and credit extensions
- Track financial statements, covenants, ticklers, and reporting requirements
- Order, review, and track appraisals and environmental reports
- Coordinate title, escrow, legal counsel, and closing activities
- Prepare and manage UCC filings, continuations, and terminations
- Manage deeds of trust, assignments, guarantees, and related loan documents
- Track insurance coverage including hazard, liability, and flood
- Monitor property taxes and ensure timely payment verification
- Book all commercial and small business loans
- Coordinate satisfaction of funding and closing conditions
- Work with title companies, escrow, and legal counsel to ensure proper execution
- Ensure post-closing documentation is complete, accurate, and imaged
- Maintain credit files and imaging standards
- Support internal audits, external audits, NCUA exams, and loan reviews
- Track policy exceptions, waivers, and remediation efforts
- Support watchlist tracking, risk ratings, and portfolio monitoring
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for lending products, systems, and enhancements
- Support LOS upgrades, enhancements, and workflow improvements
- Assist in drafting and updating lending procedures and controls
- Train staff on loan workflow changes and system updates
- Provide portfolio and pipeline reporting support
- Perform loan boarding quality control
- Track and resolve documentation or system exceptions
- Support loan participations and related documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Business Banking leadership
