Construction Marketing & Sales Representative - Northern Nevada Focus
Summary
Silver State Geotechnical is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Marketing and Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry and established knowledge of the Northern Nevada and broader Nevada markets. This role is responsible for driving new business, managing client relationships, and achieving a significant sales target.
(Main business operations include, but no limited to, Geotechnical Reports/ investigations, Retaining Wall Designs, Special Inspections/ Materials Testing for new/ proposed construction)
Key Responsibilities
- Market Strategy: Develop and execute strategic marketing and sales plans focused on the Northern Nevada construction sector, including general contractors, developers, and subcontractors.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, industry events, and leveraging existing professional relationships.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and proposal development to negotiation and contract closing.
- Reporting: Track sales activities, metrics, and progress toward annual goals.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on local construction trends, competitor activity, and new project developments within the Nevada market.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales or marketing experience within the construction industry is required. Direct experience in the Northern Nevada or Nevada market is a significant advantage.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the local construction landscape, including key players, project types, and sales cycles.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Attributes: Self-driven, results-oriented, and highly professional with a strong work ethic.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute).
Compensation & Incentive Structure
We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward high performance and goal achievement.
Yearly Salary: $50,000
Commission Breakdown:
1.Yearly sales goal of $500,000
2. 8% commission up to 90% of sales goal.
3. 2% commission retroactively paid once 90% of sales goal achieved.
4. 10% commission paid between 90%- 100% of sales goal achieved.
5. 12% commission paid for any amount over initial $500,000 sales goal.
If sales goal is achieved the yearly income would be at $100,000 p/ year
