Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes swiftly.
- Operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems and mechanical parts.
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule maintenance tasks and document repairs.
- Conduct welding operations, including
welding techniques, and perform repairs on metal structures using various welding methods. - Assist with field service activities by providing technical support on-site for equipment installation, upgrades, or emergency repairs.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize equipment performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to electrical safety protocols involving high voltage and low voltage systems; operate scissor lifts safely when required.
- Support customer service efforts by ensuring machinery operates reliably for internal clients or external customers.
Requirements
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, hydraulic systems, and HVAC expertise is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters accurately.
- Electrical experience including working with high voltage and low voltage systems; industrial electrician experience is a plus.
- Skilled in welding techniques, including
welding methods; certification preferred. - Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance management; field service experience is advantageous.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to address operational issues efficiently.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals fluently in English; military background or related discipline is a bonus.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating scissor lifts or other industrial equipment is preferred.
