Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Responsibilities

• Process and verify accounts payable transactions.
• Manage accounts receivable activities by generating invoices and tracking payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors for prompt resolution.
• Maintain meticulous records of all transactions, including data entry of invoices, payments, and receipts with precision and efficiency.
• Support month-end closing processes by performing account reconciliation tasks such as debits & credits analysis and general ledger reconciliation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping methods.
• Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent math skills combined with the ability to analyze account data for discrepancies or errors.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, credit analysis and account analysis.
• Effective communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving within a team environment.

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
