Asphalt Plant Groundman - Davis, OK

2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA *Full-Time

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company - is seeking Asphalt Plant Groundman to perform ground operations, such as greasing equipment, general laboring, equipment operation, and routine maintenance in and around the asphalt plant.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repairs
• Operate heavy equipment such as bob cat, skid steer, man lift, water truck, and haul truck
• Pre and post inspections with proper documentation
• Perform upkeep of the plant (trash/debris clean up)
  
  

Groundman Skills

• Communication- asphalt groundman work in a collaborative environment, which requires strong verbal communication skills
• Time-management - asphalt groundman use time-management skills to perform many tasks within a day and maintain maintenance and repairs in order to keep the plant running
• Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly
  
  

Qualifications

• Must have a good driving record
• Must pass the background check, drug screen/physical
• Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
• Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Must be able to perform manual tasks in a safe manner, such as shoveling, sweeping, and jackhammer operation
• Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures
