Experienced Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as a dental receptionist when required.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient office operations.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.
• At least 2 years experience in general dentistry required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and terminology is essential.
• Experience with Dentrix required.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Spanish speaking a plus.
