What are the responsibilities and job description for the VLT Slot Technician position at Silver Reef Casino Resort?
Summary: To maintain casino floor by cleaning, repairing and installing slot machines. Troubleshooting problems that may include physical components, networking, and/or software issues.
Qualifications:
- Extensive technical ability and knowledge of mechanical, electronics and/or computer software and networks.
- Ability to work independently or with a team on long term projects as well as multitasking other projects.
- Must be 21 years of age
Licensing Requirements:
- Class III Gaming License
Essential Job Functions:
- Troubleshooting problems with gaming equipment, network, and software to the component level.
- Help with machine moves and title conversions as needed.
- Have advanced knowledge of computer software and systems.
- Electrical knowledge and/or understanding.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by Slot Tech Manager.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Walking, sitting or standing in and around the casino slot floor for long periods at a time.
- Ability to multitask and work on long term projects.
- Frequently lifting, carrying and calibrating equipment.
- Occasionally moving, bending and stooping during machine moves up to 250 lbs.
Working conditions:
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment.
- Hazards include cigarette smoke, dust, dirt, and chemicals.
