The Emergency Department Social Worker is responsible for:
- Assisting in the process of responding to referrals, providing service information, and explaining other requests for services in the ER at Silver Cross.
- Assessing all ages of patients and collaborating with a physician to determine a proper disposition.
- Providing technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor.
- Serving as the first contact with the community and therefore excels at providing resources and support to callers, walk-ins, and assessments in the ER.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:
- Education & Licensure: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field preferred. Illinois State license in social work or clinical related mental health field preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and have strong clinical assessment skills preferred.

Compensation:
This is a PRN role and the expected compensation range is $30.00/ hourly. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our ED Social Worker!
