Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with manual transmission to deliver products across designated routes.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Verify delivery accuracy by inspecting shipments, completing paperwork, and obtaining signatures when required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.

Experience

• Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
• Must have 3 full years of a clean driving history.
• Strong background in customer service with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with load & unload procedures and moving equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
• Knowledge of route driving, heavy lifting techniques, and safety standards related to commercial transportation.
• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks is a bonus; certification is not required but highly valued.
• Ability to use tools to assemble furniture and fixtures for displays in store room and for customer orders.
