Overview
Looking for a Part time med aid with additional hours available if desired.
Fun environment!
HOURS
7AM-7PM 2 days a week to include 1 weekday a week and every other Weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
Duties
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and guidelines.
- Monitor patients for side effects and report any concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct routine checks of vital signs and report any significant changes.
- Provide support for tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized medical needs as required.
- Utilize EMR
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents while promoting dignity and respect.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or acute care environments preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs assessment.
- Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring hospice or memory care.
- Proficiency in medical documentation processes and understanding of HIPAA regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
