Silver Lining Therapy is a virtual, North Carolina-based provider offering substance use assessments, ADETS, Prime for Life, and outpatient treatment services. We specialize in working with individuals navigating DWI requirements, court involvement, and recovery support—prioritizing timely access, clear documentation, and compassionate, person-centered care.

We are currently seeking an experienced counselor for a full-time position.

Position Overview

This is a primarily remote position for a clinician who lives in Western North Carolina (WNC) or surrounding. The majority of services are provided virtually; however, the clinician must be available for in-person responsibilities approximately 2–3 times per month, which may include travel to our office or a correctional facility.

The role includes conducting substance use assessments and facilitating group therapy services while adhering to North Carolina state guidelines. Clinicians use a streamlined EMR system and have administrative and support staff available.

Because training and day-to-day collaboration are primarily virtual, candidates should be comfortable learning, communicating, and working independently in a remote environment. Previous remote or telehealth experience is preferred but not required.

  • Participate in remote training, communication, and team collaboration
  • Be available for in-person responsibilities approximately 2–4 times per month, including potential travel to the office or a correctional facility

Qualifications

  • Required: CADC or LCAS (North Carolina) Must be fully credentialed; we are not accepting intern or associate-level licenses at this time
  • Preferred location in Western North Carolina (WNC)
  • Experience in the DWI field is appreciated, including conducting assessments and/or facilitating groups
  • Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
  • Comfortable learning, training, and working remotely
  • Able to work independently and stay organized in a virtual environment
  • Previous remote or telehealth experience is preferred, but not required
  • Able to travel locally for occasional in-person responsibilities approximately 2–4 times per month
  • Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required
