Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant / Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of a seasonal campground in Silver Lake, Michigan. This role is customer‑facing and hands‑on, assisting with guest services, reservations, basic accounting tasks, staff coordination, and general campground operations. The ideal candidate is adaptable, service‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, outdoor hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Use campground reservation system to take reservations, process payments, and confirm campground arrivals.
- Handle cash and credit card payments (both over the phone and in person) and balance cash register at the end of shifts.
- Assist with accounts payable and basic administrative recordkeeping.
- Monitor and respond to the campground email inbox and general communications.
- Assist with timecard administration, daily & weekly scheduling, and time off approvals for seasonal staff.
- Additional responsibilities as needed.
Skills
- Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Ability to anticipate needs and complete important tasks independently.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Be able prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to performance basic mathematical calculations with the use of a calculator.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including, nights, weekends and holidays is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Work Location: In person
