Do you have a passion for precision, problem-solving, and helping others navigate complex financial systems? We’re seeking a dedicated Business Office Manager to oversee Accounts Receivable and financial operations at our skilled nursing facility.

Position Overview:

As the Business Office Manager, you will be the go-to expert on billing, collections, insurance claims, and Medicaid certification. You’ll work closely with residents, families, and external payers to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement—helping our facility continue to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Accounts Receivable functions, including billing and collections
  • Prepare and submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
  • Track and follow up on outstanding payments; ensure timely reimbursement
  • Assist residents and families with Medicaid applications and certifications
  • Generate and distribute monthly statements and invoices
  • Post payments and reconcile resident accounts
  • Lead triple check meetings to ensure claim accuracy before submission
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, case managers, and insurance representatives
  • Maintain accurate and compliant financial records for all payer sources
  • Participate in monthly financial close-out and reporting processes

Qualifications:

  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing billing required
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing
  • Familiarity with Medicaid application processes and state-specific requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial discussions with empathy and professionalism
  • Proficient in billing and financial software (experience with [insert relevant system] preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; business/accounting coursework preferred
