Job Description
The Quality Technician will be expected to provide leadership in overseeing and managing an ISO & API-11D1 Quality Program, Quality objectives and is responsible for the maintenance of the Company Quality Management System and providing leadership in managing group and regional Quality programs. In addition, the Quality Technician will be responsible for receiving, in-process and final inspection.
Responsibilities
Management of ISO 9001:2015 Certification and implementation of API 11D1 Certification. Conducts first article, in-process and final inspections of product to engineering drawings and specifications. Initiates non-conformance reports and corrective actions when applicable. Investigates failures, determines root cause and proposes remedial actions. Completes and maintains quality documentation. Ensures all inspection tools are properly maintained and manages the certification schedule. Works with other management team members to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 & API 11D1.
Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor Degree preferred. Minimum 3 years Experience preferred. Must be familiar with the use of all inspection equipment, including, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, height gauges, dial indicators, etc., and their application in conducting manual detailed inspections. Experienced in the calibration requirements associated with all types of inspection equipment. Understands and adheres to ISO 9001:2015 and API 11D1. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills to work with the sales department, customers, shop personnel, shop machinists, and CNC operators. Ability to interpret drawings and specifications. Self-motivated; completes tasks with minimal supervision. Requires computer literacy – proficiency using Windows and common Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Strong work ethic and reliability.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
