Electrical Engineer (Space & Defense Systems)

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in designing, developing, and testing critical electrical systems and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Create electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications for digital, analog, and power systems.
- Component Selection: Analyze specifications and reliability requirements to select optimal components and equipment.
- Analysis & Simulation: Perform calculations and simulations to model, analyze, and validate designs.
- PCB Collaboration: Partner with PCB layout engineers to provide design guidance, constraints, and layout reviews.
- Integration & Testing: Test, troubleshoot, and debug complex electrical circuits and systems using lab equipment.
- Mentorship: Train, guide, and mentor junior engineers and technicians on design procedures, documentation, and best practices.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Participate in design reviews, provide technical feedback, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver projects on schedule.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Experience: 4 years of relevant electrical design and development experience.
- Clearance: Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).
- Skills: Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, circuit troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel occasionally as required.
Preferred Skills & Technical Experience:
- Design Tools: Proficiency with ORCAD or equivalent EDA tools.
- Technical Domains: Hands-on experience with Analog/Digital design, Power Systems, VHDL, FPGAs, Networks, or Communication Systems.
- Lab Equipment: Hands-on experience with Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Power Supplies, Signal Generators, and Hipot Testers.
- Industry Focus: Prior experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Space Systems engineering.
- Leadership: Prior experience acting as a Project Engineer or Lead Engineer.
