Position Summary: Manages the daily activities of assigned employees to ensure timely and effective sales, delivery, and service to all assigned accounts. 

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manages pay for performance, merchandising, sales goals, and market share in assigned business channels by developing a well trained, highly motivated sales force to reach monthly/annual sales objectives.  Spends 50-70 % of the time on the trade: training and monitoring assigned employees and calling on accounts on a regular basis.
  2. Hires, trains, evaluates, and disciplines staff as appropriate.
  3. Maintains and strives to improve customer relations and goodwill through ensuring adequate service by subordinates; through personal attention to opportunity areas and through trade visits with major accounts.
  4. Follows and enforces Anheuser Busch WEA and other supplier contract Code Date policies.
  5. Utilizes and strictly enforces Team Sale Ride With as accounts are visited for self and assigned employees to make retail trade expansion of product/package distribution and overall customer satisfaction.
  6. Identifies trends/changes in market and monitors competitive activity and informs Company management of all relevant issues to include pricing, packaging and promotions.
  7. Ensures the installation of paper (promotional and theme) and permanent P.O.S in the dominant position in each account to maintain Silver Eagle’s dominance.
  8. Ensures that Area Sales Managers make all relevant changes in retail accounts are made in applicable software systems.
  9. Participates in the preparation of departmental operating and operating budgets and maintains cost conscious attitude in the administration of the budget.
  10. Participates in special events –i.e. - Rodeo, Ethnic events, Brewery events, etc.
  11. Makes sales calls on licensed accounts (including non-buyers) in assigned business channel.  Works closely with Area Sales Manager and Sales Specialists to sell non-buyers.
  12. Ensures efficient route sequencing.
  13. Performs Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years Sales / National Accounts and 1-2 years of management experience.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Advanced computer knowledge in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point. Encompass and M360 Platforms
  5. Must be able to push at least 300 lbs dolly loaded and move 161 lbs kegs.
  6. Must handle alcohol and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines.
  7. Must have a cell phone with data capability.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  1. Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus).
  2. Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time.
  3. Continuous lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 20-161 lbs. 
  4. Ability to operate a two or four wheel dolly.
  5. Must be able to push 300 lbs dolly load and move 161 lbs kegs.
  6. Must be able to operate a forklift and a pallet jack.
  7. Frequent driving distances between 0-75 miles in one sitting.  
  8. Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling and maneuvering dolly, hand truck, bay roll up doors, straps, curb ramps, truck doors, boxes, cases, kegs, truck gear shift.
