White Water - Merchandise, Team Member (Seasonal, 2025)

Job Summary:

The Merchandise Team Member is responsible for restocking shelves, answering guest questions, and ringing up purchases all while delivering the award-winning customer service White Water is known for. We are looking for candidates that are comfortable with a computerized cash register and counting back change. 

This position starts 04/12/2025 and ends 09/01/2025.

Must be at least 16 years of age

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Aid customers in locating merchandise
• Answer questions and provide information to customers about merchandise for sale
• Obtain merchandise from the stockroom when merchandise is not on the floor
• Arrange stock on shelves or racks in the sales area
• Direct or escort the customer to fitting or dressing rooms or cashier.
• Keep merchandise in order and clean
• Mark or ticket merchandise
• Complete sales transactions
• Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards
• Balance team and individual responsibilities
• Put success of team above own interests
• Commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
• Complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan
• Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions
• Use equipment and materials properly

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift and/or move 15 pounds frequently to 50 pounds maximum
• The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously

• The ability to work at a rapid speed frequently
• The ability to frequently use equipment such as a Point of Sales (POS) cash register, hand carts, screw guns, etc.

Work Environment:

A Merchandise Team Member works primarily outdoors inside a water park environment, with frequent indoor tasks within open floor retail locations. The role involves exposure to various weather conditions, uneven terrain, and moderate to high noise levels, often working independently. Team Members use a variety of tools including computers, pricing equipment, and cash registers. Work includes collaboration with teams and mentors, with a focus on ensuring safety and high-quality guest interactions.
