Job Summary:
As a Christmas Lights Team Member, you will help transform Silver Dollar City into one of the world’s most-acclaimed holiday destinations for our An Old Time Christmas. Our theme park has received high recognition from a variety of news and travel organizations for our amazing displays which you will help us to create. You will help install and maintain more than 6.5 million dazzling Christmas light displays, including 1.5 million in the Christmas In Midtown light spectacular. We are looking for diligent team members who are meticulous with details while installing lights on buildings, fences, trees and other surfaces while using a manual staple gun on ladders and lifts.
This is a Seasonal position. The position will begin on 07/13/2026 and end around 11/06/2026.
Must be at least 17 years of age.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installs and maintains Christmas lights with a focus on attention to detail.
- Operates a manual and/or pneumatic staple gun with small tire compressor and maintains the cleanliness and maintenance of both items.
- Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.
- Ability to follow ladder safety rules and work for long periods of time on ladders.
- 6 to 8-foot ladder.
- 20-foot extension ladder.
- Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effectively communicate with others on your team, other facilities/maintenance teams, and all other divisional employees and leadership.
- Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively with other facilities/maintenance teams and all other divisional employees and leadership.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and a background check.
- Must be able to continually use a manual and/or pneumatic style staple gun
- Must have the ability to use hand tools such as a cordless drill.
- Must be able to work days, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to tolerate a year-round outdoor environment; cold and hot temperatures.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds (assisted).
- Must possess the mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 65 feet or, crawling and working in confined spaces.
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend instructions and communicate in English.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous Christmas lights experience and/or experience in a Holiday Lighting Industry setting preferred.
- Experience with 65ft genie/snorkel lift/skytrak/backhoe & loader preferred.
- Current certification(s) in any related field or equipment preferred.

This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time. Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and stooping are required throughout the workday. The employee must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with team assistance. The role requires the physical coordination and balance necessary to safely operate ladders (6 ft. to 20 ft.), lifts, and other equipment at heights up to and exceeding 65 feet. The position also requires the ability to use hand tools, including a manual staple gun and cordless drills, with repetitive motion for extended periods. Employees must have the stamina to work long shifts and perform tasks in low-light or elevated conditions.
Work Environment:
This position is performed primarily in an outdoor environment and requires exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat, wind, and rain. The work environment may include elevated platforms, rooftops, confined spaces, and rugged terrain. Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety procedures, including fall protection and ladder safety protocols. Noise levels may vary depending on the work area, and hearing protection may be required in certain locations.
