Silver Dollar City - Entertainment & Events Technician III (Seasonal, 2026)

Summary: This position is responsible for performing daily technical duties associated with live sound/lighting of shows.

This position starts 5/18/26 and ends 8/17/26

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Basic stagecraft
• Setting up acts on stage
• Changing over from one act to another in a fast-paced environment
• Setting up lights, running lights, mixing sound and setting up sound systems
• Performing routine maintenance on both lighting and sound systems
• Demonstrating attention to detail in equipment set-up and operation
• Interacting with fellow employees without distracting them while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Solving problems with minimal supervision; must be self-motivated and self-directed
• Keeping work area clean and maintaining organization
• Ensuring compliance with all authorized operator requirements and safety procedures specific to the job location
• Remaining alert and attentive during each performance to ensure a flawless production or being able to promptly respond to any issues which may arise
• Displaying original thinking and creativity when planning for show mounting and/or production
• Sharing knowledge and experience with technical team to aid in set-up and implementation of shows; providing informal leadership in the absence of Supervisor when requested

Education and Experience: Two years of previous experience with different types of equipment and methods of live lighting or sound reinforcement is required. Relevant experience may include theme park, theatre and amateur productions. Experience should include live lighting, sound or band situations, video projection, and stage carpentry.  Must be able to read and write English.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be:

• Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
• Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather related); work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
