Summary:
Review and process insurance claims and follow-up on related correspondence. Handle or redirect incoming departmental calls. Interact effectively with co-workers. Other general office duties as assigned.
Review and process insurance claims and follow-up on related correspondence. Handle or redirect incoming departmental calls. Interact effectively with co-workers. Other general office duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process paper claims for Commercial Insurance Billing and Queue claims for Electronic Billing
- Process all patient and insurance correspondence and mail returns
- Check insurance eligibility and load insurance
- Answer and resolve or redirector all incoming patient, insurance, and attorney calls
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to type
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A minimum of 6 months pervious hospital or medical office experience
