Silver Creek Development is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead a commercial construction project in Anderson, SC expected to last approximately 14–18 weeks. This role is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate, with the potential to transition into a long-term East Coast Traveling Superintendent position following successful project completion.

Position Summary:
The Construction Superintendent will lead the field operations for Tenant Improvement projects of varying sizes. All projects require exceptional planning, coordination, communication, and leadership. The Construction Superintendent will oversee all day-to-day field activities, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, and manage subcontractors to maintain schedule, quality, and budget requirements. This role requires strong experience with commercial tenant improvement construction, renovations, and/or ground-up additions and builds. This is a field-based role with primary responsibility for jobsite execution.
Initial assignment will be based full-time in Anderson, SC for approximately 14–18 weeks.
Following project completion, high-performing candidates may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time East Coast Traveling Superintendent role supporting projects throughout the Southeast and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
- Maintain project schedule while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on-site
- Develop and manage short-term (lookahead) schedules to drive daily and weekly field production
- Coordinate daily with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and the project management team
- Lead daily field operations including site logistics, material deliveries, and workforce coordination
- Conduct daily field reports, safety meetings, and progress updates
- Enforce project plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite in accordance with company standards and OSHA requirements
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues to maintain project schedule and quality
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on RFIs, change orders, and project planning
- Identify field issues and prepare and submit RFIs in coordination with the Project Manager to resolve design and constructability questions
- Ensure all work meets quality expectations and passes required inspections
- Maintain professional communication with owners, owner representatives, and project stakeholders
- Train, mentor, and support Assistant Superintendents and field staff to ensure consistent project execution and professional development
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
- Experience managing commercial projects such as tenant improvements, renovations, or ground-up construction (preferably $1M )
- Proven ability to manage field operations, subcontractors, and project schedules
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing including structural, MEP, sitework, and interior finishes
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore or similar platforms
- OSHA 30 certification required; safety-oriented mindset is essential
- Ability to travel and work on projects across multiple locations as needed
- Light carpentry skills are preferable
