The People Operations Intern supports the day-to-day administrative execution of the People & Culture function. This role provides exposure to core HR processes including onboarding, recruiting coordination, employee data management, and internal operations.
This position works closely with the Chief People Officer and People Operations team and is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Systems: Rippling (HRIS), Pinpoint (ATS), Monday.com, O365
Schedule: Part-time or full-time (aligned with business needs)
Location: In-office – Santa Barbara headquarters
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing offer letters and onboarding documentation
- Support onboarding coordination (paperwork, scheduling, system setup)
- Help maintain employee records and HR databases in Rippling
- Assist with interview scheduling and candidate communication through Pinpoint Support benefits paperwork and general employee inquiries
- Help organize HR files, compliance documentation, and personnel records
- Track tasks and workflows in Monday.com and SharePoint Coordinate internal meetings, calendars, and team logistics
- Assist with HR communications and document distribution
- Support office coordination (supplies, team lunches, general admin tasks)
- Provide administrative support to the People Operations team
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and documentation quality
- Highly organized; able to keep files, records, and databases clean, structured, and consistently updated
- Strong administrative discipline with the ability to track tasks, follow up on loose ends, and maintain operational order
- Excellent at managing paperwork, forms, onboarding packets, and HR documentation with precision
- Comfortable maintaining and auditing employee records, recruiting data, and HR systems for completeness and accuracy
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple administrative tasks and deadlines
- Professional written and verbal communication skills when coordinating with candidates, employees, and leadership
