We are looking for a friendly and energetic Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, handling transactions, answering questions, and ensuring everyone has a positive experience. Ideal job for those who desire daylight hours - 10:00 - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday -NO SATURDAYS OR SUNDAYS
Responsibilities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process customer transactions efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, providing friendly and helpful service throughout their visit.
- Manage cash handling with attention to detail, ensuring correct change and receipt issuance.
- Assist customers and answer questions by answering questions about store items or menu offerings.
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and organizing products for easy access.
- Upsell products or menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries, ensuring clear communication.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and merchandising is beneficial.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced grocery or retail store environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
