Silva-Lining HR is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented VP of Finance for one of our clients to lead and manage all aspects of their financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, cash management, and compliance. As a key member of the team, this role will also contribute to financial strategy and data-informed decision-making. At a more strategic level, the VP of Finance builds on these responsibilities by shaping the company’s overall financial direction, leading financial planning and capital strategy, and partnering closely with executive leadership to drive long-term growth and cross-functional business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee the integrity of financial reporting, ensuring alignment with GAAP and executive-level decision-making needs.
  • Provide high-level financial insights, KPIs, and dashboards to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial policies at an organizational level.
  • Lead relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Strategy

  • Own the company-wide financial planning strategy, including long-term forecasting and multi-year financial models.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including rolling forecasts and variance analysis
  • Drive scenario planning, capital allocation, and investment strategy to support business growth.
  • Advise executive leadership on financial risks, opportunities, and business performance.

Operational & Strategic Leadership

  • Evaluate and guide pricing strategies, margin performance, and service line profitability to support market expansion and overall business growth.
  • Lead financial due diligence, structuring, and integration for mergers, acquisitions, or major investments, supported by financial modeling for capital investment and cost management decisions.
  • Drive organization-wide financial systems strategy, including scalability, automation, and data infrastructure.

Cash Management, Capital Strategy & Risk Oversight

  • Oversee cash flow strategy, capital structure, and funding requirements (debt, equity, or reinvestment).
  • Develop enterprise-level risk management strategies, including financial, operational, and market risks.
  • Ensure appropriate insurance coverage and risk mitigation frameworks across the business.

Executive Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance function, including accounting, FP&A, and other finance roles as the company scales, through coaching, training, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop leadership within the finance team, ensuring succession planning and capability building.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with department heads to align financial and operational goals.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • 7 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a senior finance or equivalent role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial strategy and planning, financial systems, accounting operations, and business performance management.

Preferred

  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with technical teams (e.g., IT, operations, engineering) to improve financial reporting, project costing, and system automation
  • Experience leading or supporting financial system upgrades, integrations, or automation projects (e.g., integrating accounting software with CRM or PSA tools).
