Production Scheduler
We are seeking a Production Scheduler responsible for scheduling assigned products to room schedules; this includes BOM maintenance, raw material allocation and closing productions to cost effectively meet customer service levels.
Basic Functions:
- Communicate with Production Supervisors to set daily and weekly schedule attainment goals.
- Schedule all production room activity including processing, maintenance, and cleaning.
- Identify capacity constraints and adjust plan appropriately in coordination with the Production Supervisor
- Deliver production documentation & labels to Production Supervisor and discuss production details to ensure proper execution.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate floor stock of standard items and blend components.
- Discuss green sheet concerns with the Production Superintendent and Materials Manager.
- Create new or utilize existing production templates (SOPS) which meet established specifications.
- Use of raw material approved by Procurement & Quality Control Tech.
- Reconcile production yields with Production Superintendent.
- Direct Scheduling Assistant(s) and provide necessary instruction and assistance.
- Inform Scheduling Manager in a timely manner of any delays or production problems which will effect on- time delivery of any order.
- Allocation, scheduling and closing all production paperwork with the assistance of the Production Scheduling Assistant(s).
- Complete Green (unreserved sales orders) Sheet daily.
- Perform other tasks as assigned which may not be reocurring.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/coursework or equivalent years of experience preferred.
- Experience working in or supporting Manufacturing Environment.
- Able to work irregular or extended hours as needed to support team.
- Strong critical thinking skills, decision-making skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to prioritize responsibilities.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Flexible work schedule (including early start times).
- Saturdays as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Standard office environment.
- Hand/Eye functionality for Computer Tasks.
- Standard manufacturing environment with some stairs.
This is a full-time, salary exempt position (expected pay range = $55,000-$65,000/year, job offer to be commensurate with candidate experience) with benefits package that includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k retirement plan with generous employer match, employee assistance program, employer gift-matching program, and wellness program. Additionally, this role may qualify for supplemental compensation in the form of a performance-based bonus.
