What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at SiLo?
As a Staff Accountant, you will report to the Vice President of Finance. Your responsibilities will include aiding in preparation of financial statements and ensuring our standards are met for our
partners. You will prepare accurate and timely updates, process cash applications, onboard new customers, and provide solutions for existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest standards in protecting the company’s assets
- Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions
- Partner directly with the business leadership to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews
- Develop relationships with our partners accounting departments to solve problems before they even become
- problems
- Sending Invoices/Statements, Working in Accounting Portals, Reconciling Receivable Accounts
- Perform B2B collections activities where needed
- Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization
- Perform credit checks on prospects and maintain credit worthiness for existing partners
- Prepare reconciliations and journal entries in the cash and A/R subledger
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of
- the organization
- Create and maintain customer workflow and collection solutions for company cash flow performance
Skills
- Experience in customer interactions, fast-paced environments and great communication skills
- General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
- Desire to effect change within an organization, both as a leader and as an individual performer
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment

- MS Excel and Google Sheets required

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or Equivalent Experience
- Accounting, Customer Service, Hospitality or Retail Background a plus
