Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Claims Intake Specialist. This role, based in the Eastern Standard Time zone, plays a key part in ensuring claims are entered accurately into internal systems, with all necessary documentation properly maintained. The position is highly data-entry focused and requires strong attention to detail to support daily production goals and compliance standards.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Training schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM for 2–3 weeks
- After training: 8-hour shifts, starting 9:00 AM and ending as late as 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Claims Intake Specialist:
- Accurately enter claims into the system on a daily basis
- Attach appropriate supporting documentation to claims files
- Maintain accuracy and compliance in all work performed
- Learn and utilize proprietary claims processing software
- Consistently meet performance objectives, including daily claim targets
- Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by leadership
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards
Qualifications and Skills for the Claims Intake Specialist:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience with claims or insurance strongly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Commitment to learning new systems and processes
- Experience in insurance industry is a plus
Pay: $18.00 - $28.72 per hour
