Silk Banquet & Catering is an Indian catering and banquet companies. We specialize in weddings and private celebrations, serving anywhere from 50 to over 300 guests. We’re looking for a dependable Prep Cook who wants to build a long-term career with a growing company.
We want someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and wants to grow with us for years to come.
Responsibilities
Wash, peel, chop, and prepare vegetables, herbs, and other ingredients
Prepare marinades, sauces, gravies, and spice mixes
Assist with preparing meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetarian dishes
Follow recipes and portion standards consistently
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and food-safe at all times
Receive and organize deliveries
Label, date, and rotate inventory (FIFO)
Help load catering orders and assist with event preparation when needed
Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy production days
Qualifications
Kitchen or prep cook experience preferred ( a plus but not required)
Reliable transportation
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Able to work weekends and during busy wedding seasons!!
