Role Description The Leasing Specialist is a contract, on-site role based at Aurora Business Center in San Leandro, CA. This role is responsible for managing the leasing process from initial inquiry through move-in, including showing office spaces, explaining lease terms, and guiding prospective tenants through applications and approvals. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to inquiries, scheduling and conducting tours, preparing and processing lease documents, and maintaining accurate lease records. The Leasing Specialist will support tenant onboarding, address lease-related questions, and collaborate with the center’s management team to promote resident retention and a positive customer experience. The role also involves monitoring occupancy, assisting with renewals, and providing feedback on market trends and tenant needs.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, with the ability to build rapport and respond to tenant needs in a professional manner.
- Experience with leasing activities, including Leases and Lease Administration, and familiarity with commercial or office leasing processes and documentation.
- Ability to support Resident Retention through proactive relationship management, timely follow-up, and problem-solving for tenant concerns.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple inquiries, tours, and lease files in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working on-site in San Leandro, CA, with the flexibility to support tours and tenant meetings during business hours.
- Prior experience in property management, commercial real estate, or office leasing is preferred.
- Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or property management systems) and the ability to learn new tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or real estate-related certifications are a plus.
