What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Sales position at Silicon Signs?
Your commission doesn't expire. Your accounts don't get pulled. Your book is your book.
Silicon Signs is a national enterprise sign company. We manufacture, install, and maintain signage programs for multi-location brands across the country — retail, restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, banking, convenience, and more.
We're hiring our first VP of National Sales to build our enterprise sales engine from the ground up. This isn't a role where you inherit a territory and maintain it. This is a role where you build it, own it, and get paid on it — permanently.
Why this role is different:
- 2.5% commission in perpetuity. You close it, you earn on it — this year, next year, every year. No sunset clauses.
- No commission caps. Ever.
- No accounts pulled. What you build is yours.
- Direct access to the CEO. You report to the person who signs the checks and makes the decisions. No layers, no committees, no "let me run it up the chain."
- Fully remote. Work from anywhere in the US. Travel as needed to close business.
What you'll do:
- Build and own the national enterprise sales pipeline from scratch
- Identify, prospect, and close net-new national accounts — multi-location brands with 50–500 locations
- Develop and manage relationships with VPs of Operations, Directors of Facilities, Procurement, and C-suite decision-makers
- Navigate complex 6–12 month sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, RFPs, and procurement processes
- Create and execute a go-to-market strategy for national accounts
- Represent Silicon Signs at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
What we're looking for:
- 8–15 years in B2B enterprise sales, consistently hitting quota
- Track record of hunting and closing net-new business (not managing inherited accounts)
- Experience selling services or managed programs to multi-location national operators
- Existing relationships with facility-level decision-makers at large companies
- Comfortable with $250K–$1M deal sizes and 6–12 month sales cycles
- RM-disciplined with a structured approach to pipeline management
- Willingness to travel nationally as needed
Backgrounds that translate well:
You don't need to come from the sign industry. We're especially interested in people from:
Facilities maintenance and management
Commercial janitorial services
Commercial HVAC services
Commercial landscaping or exterior services
Any industry where you've sold recurring programs to multi-location facility decision-makers
Compensation:
Base salary: $100,000–$130,000
Commission: 2.5% of revenue in perpetuity — no caps, no clawbacks, no account reassignment
What that looks like: A top performer building a $3M book over 3 years would earn $200K–$300K in total compensation, growing every year as accounts renew and new ones are added
Why people stay here:
This is a company where salespeople are treated like owners, not headcount. We don't cap your earnings because we want you motivated. We don't pull your accounts because we want you invested. And we don't put layers between you and leadership because we want to move fast.
If you've been at a company where your commission plan got worse every year, where your best accounts got handed to someone else, or where you needed three approvals to send a proposal — this is the opposite of that.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
