Impact Electronic Solutions - Grants Pass Location (ESAM) - Position Description
Summary of Position:
Under supervision of the production supervisor of the solder department and using a soldering iron (pencil type), solders wires onto a variety of components.
Duties:
- Bend wires and mechanically attach to components.
- Tin the wire
- Read instruction sheets
- Call for In Process Inspection when applicable.
- Fill out traveler paperwork.
- Make suggestions on improving the processes.
- Solder wire.
- Remove solder and rework.
- Hand strip as required.
- Perform special assignments and other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Able to distinguish colors.
- Able to read small print and read a ruler.
- Have excellent manual dexterity.
- Grasp a soldering iron and hold solder for eight (8) or more hours per day.
- Sit for eight (8) or more hours per day.
- Able to lift and carry 25 lbs. on a repeated basis.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
- Have the ability to work with arms at shoulder level for extended periods of time.
- Ability to Bend head and neck at an angle to view through a halo light or scope to solder very small components.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20)

Schedule:
- Monday- Friday 5:00am-1:30pm
- OT is required, as needed. OT Hours: Mon-Thursday 2 hours immediately following shift, and Sat.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Assembly Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
- Mechanical Knowledge: 3 years (Preferred)
