What are the responsibilities and job description for the Palletizing System Technician position at Silgan Dispensing Systems?
Meets or exceeds all level 1 and 2 requirements Must have High School Diploma or GED Works with Level 1 and 2 Utilities to make sure jobs are finishing on time and being loaded/unloaded from the HMI Understands how to correctly perform the process on how to run, skid, band, segregate, and disposition product in the manual lane per the work instruction Able to work through all basic functions of the HMI on system Knows and understands how both the bander and shrink wrapper operates in auto/manual mode and can change out both Monitors the slip sheet area ensuring it does not run out in both the auto/manual area. Can eject “kickout” jobs from Right or Left side if needed and understands all steps associated with doing so Knows how to perform basic homing sequence for Fanuc Robots Able to address basic troubleshooting issues with the Robots, Sub Lanes, De-stackers, Bander, Shrink Wrapper, Slip Sheet area, and Exit lanes Understands how to take the system from manual to auto and back When system is alarming, they will be able to understand the alarm and fix/obtain assistance in a timely manner Work directly with warehouse individuals making sure product continues to move and system is stocked with appropriate materials Is the go-to person for the Supervisor for any basic issue with the Robots and/or the conveyor system Perform other duties as assigned LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMER The above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
