- Manage daily manufacturing and production operations to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals
- Develop a deep understanding of can components and manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in SPC, basic quality management tools, and software
- Oversee quality control and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all safety programs and plant policies are followed
- Mentor and motivate your workforce
- Manage resources, labor records, and warehouse product flow
- Collaborate across all levels of the plant to deliver results in a 24/7 industrial manufacturing environment
- Grow into a future operation or manufacturing supervisory role at other Silgan locations nationwide
- Associate's degree or higher
- Supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or plant operations
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to spend 40% or more of the time on the production floor and work flexible hours
- Talent to make public presentations in small and large group settings
- Desire to grow into larger operations or manufacturing management roles, including relocating to other plants across the country
