Weekend Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Position Description
SilencerCo Cell Leads provide assistance to operators to help with training on measuring parts, making offsets, maintaining a clean work station, general maintenance of machines, checking parts through the system and reporting to management on personal growth and areas of improvement. Set-up machines for new part runs and troubleshoot problems within the cell. Use COPA to coach and develop team members.
Job Responsibilities
- Helps train operators to ensure that they comply with the standards of operations in the Machine Shop.
- Work with all levels of the organization and report to management on growth and areas for improvement.
- Be a level 3 operator and adhere to all level 2 goals and responsibilities ● Overseeing set-up / changeovers in a cell.
- Will organize, prioritize, and direct the flow of work in the cell. ● Take ownership of problem solving throughout the cell, and escalate issues to programming, maintenance, and shop management.
- Responsible for 5S check off.
- Responsible for managing and consistently maintaining a clean and organized cell.
- Assists other machine operators by answering questions and demonstrating machine processes.
- Evaluate machines for safety and functionality.
- Recognizing employees for great work including; improvements, process development, and productivity improvement (KAIZEN) around the shop. Communicating these improvements to management.
- Comply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and OSHA standards.
- Assist Machine Shop Managers and other Cell Leads resolve employee grievances, disciplines, and conduct annual performance reviews. ● Participates in SilencerCo Management training programs.
- Participate in organizational performance evaluations, and support your team complete successful skill verification of Operators. Responsible for assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees.
