The Manager of Finance is an integral leader within the Finance team that supports data-driven decisions by leading budgets, forecasts, internal reporting, and more as the organization grows.
Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Lead the creation of annual budgets from preparation to execution
- Lead the creation of weekly and rolling financial forecasts, refining techniques to increase accuracy and facilitate decision-making
- Oversee monthly management reporting of financial results, including commentary preparation
- Oversee expense allocation and transfer pricing processes to evaluate revenue streams
- Serve as point of contact for the financial evaluation of new initiatives and capital expenditures
- Partner with operational leaders to make decisions, demonstrating financial expertise and intellectual curiosity while maintaining perspective of organizational goals and objectives
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and accountability in completing work
- Diagnose and lead initiatives to correct data integrity instances
- Perform ad hoc projects and reporting for the leadership team as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting required
- Prior experience (8 years) in Finance required, leading budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
- Prior finance leadership experience (5 years) required, analyst team leadership preferred
- Prior experience presenting financial results to operational leaders strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Ability to question, investigate, and understand business drivers for financial activity
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and summarize both financial and non-financial data
- Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to translate concepts and details effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and be accountable for simultaneous projects under limited supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products with advanced skills in Excel
The Manager of Finance will be responsible for leading a team of at least two analysts. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Participating in talent recruitment and training new team members as needed
- Ensuring departmental process documentation is updated and followed by all team members
- Facilitating two-way feedback with team members
- Prioritizing the team’s work to achieve its most important objectives
- Creating goals for team members and holding them accountable
- Identifying training and education opportunities for team members
- Modeling the organization’s core values for the team and encouraging them to do the same
- Encouraging, recognizing, correcting, and disciplining team members as needed

- Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 DOE.
