We are scientists, programmers, and innovators developing and utilizing physics-based computer-aided drug design (CADD) tools in conjunction with machine learning technologies to help researchers in small molecule and biologics development. Our patented Site Identification by Ligand Competitive Saturation (SILCS) technology enables all aspects of small molecule drug design, protein-protein interaction modulation, antibody-drug conjugate development, and protein formulation.
We are seeking an Applications Scientist with expertise in computational chemistry or cheminformatics and strong software development skills to support software development, deployment, and internal systems administration.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team supporting both internal R&D and external customer projects.
- Design and implement novel applications and features into the SilcsBio GUI and backend software.
- Build and maintain software packaging and deployment pipelines for Linux, Windows, and macOS.
- Manage and maintain internal HPC cluster (Linux-based), including performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on installation, usage and application of SilcsBio software.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of computational workflows for drug discovery and development.
What you need to be successful:
- A Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C for backend development and experience developing cross-platform GUIs using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Electron, Vue, React).
- Experience with Linux systems administration, network management and HPC environments.
- Familiarity with software packaging tools (Conda, Docker, installers) and version control (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
