Duties
- Assist in asphalt paving operations by preparing surfaces, spreading materials, and ensuring smooth application.
- Operate machinery such as pavers, rollers, and shuttle buggies
- Use hand tools and power tools for site preparation, material handling, and minor repairs.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks consistently throughout the workday.
- Maintain equipment by performing basic mechanical checks and reporting issues promptly.
Requirements
- 2 years prior construction site experience in asphalt road construction or highway maintenance projects
- 2 years experience luting highly preferred
- 2 years experience with equipment operation including pavers, rollers, shuttle buggies, compactors, and screws.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely in outdoor environments.
- Comfortable working on construction projects in a civil infrastructure role under various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and adherence to OSHA standards during all activities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred but not required
